There were two clubs in Montmartre during the belle epoque. I wish they were still here. They were called respectively, “Heaven” and “Hell”. Or in french “Ciel” and “Enfer”.
There’s a Domergue exhibit in Paris at the Musee de Montparnasse. I went to check it out with Marie ( of Le Boudoire de Marie). The paintings are usually found at his villa in Cannes, which I got to visit a few weeks later. I was so impressed by his confident brush strokes! The painting above is just sublime!
We took some photos in the alley in front of the gallery. It’s in one of those romantic Parisian passages. This one is filled with artist’s atliers.
Check out the brush stroke background on the image below!
And the colors he used to suggest a face in the shadows.
She took some photos of my house and posted on her blog. Nice to see someone else’s vision of my world. Those are some apricot scones I made and a lovely small cake that Ciou bought for us to share.
This photo of us was taken behind an apartment gallery that we went to for an art opening. There was a fantastic french garden in the courtyard.
