There’s a Domergue exhibit in Paris at the Musee de Montparnasse. I went to check it out with Marie ( of Le Boudoire de Marie). The paintings are usually found at his villa in Cannes, which I got to visit a few weeks later. I was so impressed by his confident brush strokes! The painting above is just sublime!
We took some photos in the alley in front of the gallery. It’s in one of those romantic Parisian passages. This one is filled with artist’s atliers.

I agree about the brush strokes. I love how he uses them to create the planes and angles in the women’s faces. they almost remind me of pin ups from the 50s
